Cathy Larson

Cathy A. Larson became a member-at-large on the Mesabi Musical Board since February of 2015 and became secretary in August 2019.  Cathy has taught Spanish for the Eveleth-Gilbert School District since 1988.  She is also a member of the Duluth-Superior Symphony Chorus since 1996, a former member of the East Range Choral Society, and a Cantor at the Resurrection Church in Eveleth since 1988.  Cathy played “Mama” in Mesabi Musical Theatre’s 2014 Production of Chicago and kept the Box Office in order for Footloose in 2015.  Her most recent role with MMT has been Melpomene, the muse of tragedies and the mother of the Sirens, in the 2017's Xanadu. Cathy resides in Eveleth with her dog, Latte; she also has two siblings and four wonderful nieces and nephews.  Cathy coaches golf in the spring and enjoys playing golf and gardening in the summer. She loves musical theater and has owned some soundtracks in five different forms – from vinyl to digital!
